I joined Penn State Behrend in Aug. 2013 as an Assistant Professor. Prior to that, I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Alabama. I was a member of W4Net Lab.

  • Oct. 2014 - I am hosting the hacking night activity (every other Wednesday) for the ACM student chapter at Behrend.
  • Oct. 2014 - The Behrend CTF teams participated in CSAW CTF 2014 and Defcamp CTF 2014, and ranked at the top 25% and 10%, repectively. Congratulations!
  • Aug. 2014 - I am offering a new course (CMPSC497C) in hacking contest in Fall 2014.

I am broadly interested in cyber security and applied cryptography. In particular, my research interests span the areas of computer and network accountability, cloud security, smart grid security, web security, and digital forensics.
